SELAMAT HARI RAYA (PART 2)

3rd Hari Raya
Going back to Masjid Tanah, Kg Pulau, my hubby's kampung....i wrote earlier that my car overheated coming back from Pahang right so in the morning my hubby send the car to the workshop to be tinker with and repair. so we only left for melaka around 11am. The traffic was not so bad, kete byk tp still moving. We stopped at Seremban R&R for lunch. Ramai betul org berhenti kat situ, kena berebut tuk dptkan tpt duduk. Dpt je tpt duduk, me take turn dgn hubby beli mknan...makanan not bad lah, sedap gak, harge pn ok. after eating and resting for a while, we continue our journey. along the way, i keep joking w my hubby, can i singgah nubhan's kg when i saw the turn to kuala pilah...but alas i dont not went but continue my journey and turn into the Pedas, Linggi turn. Reaching the toll, i noticed that the car temperature was up again and i saw smoke coming out from the front, so i decided to stop at the side just after the toll...mmg berasap pn...bila my hubby checked air dh kering and everytime die isi air je, it will evaporate...ade yg bocor agaknya...me dh mula nk mengomel time tu coz kan kete baru je antar kedai mekanik that morning. lama gak we all stop kat situ, just waiting for the engine to cool down. When we finally decided to move, i can only drive 60 km/j coz kalo naik je lps 60km/j, temperature naik balik...luckily the road tak byk kete, kalo ade pn , i signal them to potong my car...adoi kete lembu pn lagi laju, of coz i got a few annoyed look but buat x peduli je....i drove until the Petronas station at Lubuk CIna where my hubby check the engine again, air ade but kurang so isi air lagi...we finally reached my hubby kg at abt 4pm and rupenye my hubby dh beritau sister die that we will be late. so x gi mana lah just went to my hubby brother's house and then proceed to his eldest sister house and spent the night there. That night my sister in-law daughter's friend came for raya and one of them is a mechanic and he took a look at my car too. after some tinkering he declare my car fixed...we'll see when i on my way back to kl.

4th Hari Raya
The next morning, around 10 am after having breakfast, me, hubby and his sister went to their mak alang's house....after spending around 20 minutes there, we proceed to my hubby auntie's house which are close by....nothing much just went visiting...then we came back to the kg house and went visiting next door to my hubby's adoptive mother...his adoptive mother from KL was also there and both their husband are bedridden so we visit there for a while...we then went back to the kg house for lunch and proceed back to KL. so far so good the car was okay but to be safe we stopped at seremban R&R again....byk nye kete spai xde parking, i parked kat shell and as my hubby was checking the engine again, 3 guys came on motorcycle offering to help us...me give signal to my hubby not to layan or accept their offer...very suspicious, tiba2 je dtg...i nap sekejap coz mengantuk and the road pn kete byk sgt...after my quick nap, we continue on back to KL...we reached home safely. My 5th and 6th day of hari raya was spent at home catching up on sleep and raya programme repeats...so that was my Hari Raya...i suppose to go to my sister in-law's kampung in Machang, Kelantan but last minute did not went coz my 2nd brother could not take leave and we were supposed to convoy together...

Here are the list of my all time favourite hari raya songs :-

4. Hari Mulia - Sheila Majid

By the time we arrive, a few of the other relatives was already there. Menu special at this auntie's house was nasi dagang and makaroni goreng...yum2 my feberet...me, hubby and brother went back home first while the rest went on to Shah Alam for an open house. As me n hubby ingat nk rest, my aunty (mum's sister) and her family came to the house so x jadi main tido2, entertain dorang, nama pn raya kan, sanak saudara berkunjung2an. End of 1st hari raya.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA

I guess this will be my last post for this month as raya is just 1 day away. I still have some shopping to do, most probably today or tomorrow i will go for last minute shopping. Would like to wish everybody, all malaysian a very happy raya, maaf zahir batin, drive safely and courteously.

Yesterday night (28/9), Nubhan had a show at BB Plaza and he sang 3 songs - Segaris bulan sabit(his hari raya song), Gadis Melayu and Ada untukmu. i went with my husband after we had break our fast at home. the show was scheduled at 8.30pm. i reached BB Plaza at 8pm. once i got there, i saw that the place where the show supposed to be is quite small and i thought i had the wrong place so i went to the Sg Wang side and there was also a stage and a show already on the way. i stay there for a while but i did not see any of the nubies gang there. so i call one of them and they said they were already there. so i guess all of them are at the BB Plaza and there they were. We did not have to wait long as by 8.30pm nubhan was there.
sorry the pictures are quite blur coz i was having problem with the camera at the time. Nubhan was the only performer last night and after singing the 3 songs, his show was over. A autograph signing was held afterwards and quite a number of his fans asked for his autograph and took pictures with him including me of course.

this is his autograph to me

After the autograph signing was over, we nubies got a personal Hari Raya card from nubhan. Thanks a lot nub.

MAJLIS AMAL BERSAMA ANAK2 YATIM BAITUL KASIH (22/9/2008)

I took 1/2 day afternoon from work to join this programme organised by Nubhanfc and Mydin USJ. Quite exciting and humbling experience. Here we are buying some groceries for the home but still have time to pose for a photo.

A group photo taken with the anak2 yatim after breaking fast and shopping for their raya clothes. My charge i.e adik angkat is the boy sitting in the front (6th from the left in black songkok and maroon baju melayu). His name is Muhammad Rafique and he is 12 years old.

One last picture before the anak-anak went back to their home

This is Nubhan before he hands over the groceries we bought earlier to the home representative. Although still not fully recovered, he managed to smile throughout.

A thumbs up from Nubhan

It was very satisfying to see the anak-anak smiling faces holding on to their bags of new clothes.

BATERI KONG

Yesterday my car battery kong, luckily im still at the parking area if not, i dont know what to do. At first i could start the car but as i was abt to go out n reverse back my engine just kong and i have to call the parking attendant to help me to push my car back into the parking space as my car was stuck in the middle of the already tight parking space. I was quite at lost at first and the parking attendant kept asking me to call a number posted at the parking space to call for a foreman to change my car battery. I was all alone and the only girl at that time and was quite scare that they wanted to scam me. At the same time i was worried as i did not have much cash at that moment. The parking attendant called the foreman and in abt 20 minute the guy came. An old fellow and very fierce looking. He wanted to change it right away and asked for CASH on the spot. Called my husband and he still at work and will try to come as soon as possible. The guy dont want to wait for my husband and handed me his name card and ask to call him back once my husband arrive. And it was beginning to rain by then and time is ticking and i was blur abt what i should do and thinking of where im going to break fast. My husband arrived at abt 6 30 pm, poor dear, his shirt was soaked due to the rain. As breaking fast time was near, we went to the nearest restaurant there and break our fast first. All the while i was so worried whether i could go home or not and whether my car would start.

My husband tried to ask his friend for help to call a mechanic but the mechanic has gone home so we have no choice but to call back the guy again. And after the battery is changed, my car is able to start again and i was so relieved but it was one of the bad experience happening to me. But in the end, i reached my house safely and today i drove again to work. NEW BATTERY SHOULD BE OK RITE?! this is the worries of someone who dont know anything abt the working of the car, just knows how to drive

BREAKING FAST AT MARCHE RESTAURANT

Yesterday i went for a berbuka puasa with some old frenz at Marche (pronouced MAR-SHAY) restaurant at THE CURVE DAMANSARA. There were 9 of us and we had such great fun and laughter. This is only my 2nd time going to The Curve, as it is quite out of the way for me as im staying in Ampang. I car pool with one of my frenz, me driving her MYVI which i enjoyed very much...i've been wanting to test drive one. The car was auto, so relax less stress for driving with the rain falling so heavy yesterday!...we left from her house in Keramat around 5 00 pm and although we made a wrong turn somewhere in TTDI, we managed to reach The Curve by 6pm. We parked at the Cineleisure parking which is quite far from the restaurant which is in the centre called THE STREET. As we were early, both of us just walked around the area just to familiarise ourselves and also to look for the restaurant.

By the time we found the restaurant, there was already a line waiting outside. Luckily we have a reservation. The ramadan Buffet is at RM 50++ (ALL U CAN EAT) excluding drinks. So when all of us already there, we went in together and we chatted for a while and we took turns to take our food...the chooses are plenty, from pasta to pizza, lamb chop, grilled seafood like prawns, mussels....very mouth watering and very tempting.... me choose to have mushroom soup and bun for my berbuka, followed by pasta, and their specialty homemade sausages beef and chicken and a dish make up of potato skin but i forgot what it is called. For drinks, i have a glass of Sirap Bandung and 1 bottle of mineral water and my dessert was chocolate ice cream. Very filling, very satisfied. Luckily for us, we took our food early as at 7pm, the restaurant encounter a blackout and we end out breaking fast by candle lite....very romantic.... the electricity did came back around 8 pm, we ate and chatted and finally leaving at 9 pm. Quite a nice dining atmosphere like a food court but within a restaurant. I might come again mayb with my family next to berbuka.GOOD TIMES WITH GOOD FRENS EATING GOOD FOOD, u cant beat that!
