Salam ols....mmg lama giler kan x di updatekan blog tercinta I ini ye...im still here beb but been busy with work n my inaccessibility to internet. Hey! here i am...so i'll just try to condense everything my going on so far...

First and foremost, im sure its not too late to address my deepest condolences to her family and my sadness of the passing of my idol and Msian most talented filmmaker n storyteller - PN YASMIN AHMAD...Yesterday i watched the Festival Festival Msia 22 and felt sad though she won the Best Director - an award that she wanted most n most deserved, she was not around to receive it herself...the speech given by her sister, Pn Orked really summed up the feeling of all that knew her and admired her work. A little too late maybe. Al-Fatihah to her soul and may she rest in peace and be among the beloved of Allah. The award was a bitter sweet nevertheless. Is it coincidence that the world lost 2 talented and irreplaceable individuals within a month apart - MJ on the 25th June and Yasmin on 25 July. Think abt it!

Last 2 weeks me n hubby went for a picnic at Sg Congkak with the Nubhanfc geng. Had a great and nice time there - meeting all after so long including the artist, had a whole lot of food shared among us there. Will update the piccas later.

Im writing this at a cyber cafe (per usual) , just coming back from watching 'Harry Potter & the half blood prince at TGV KLCC. My first movie after so long. A very entertaining and funny instalment of the chapter i find it to be. Lots of first love & first kiss going on, very sweet and lovey dovey. This is much lighter tone then the last instalment before this which i find to be very dark n scary even for an old gal like myself. Cant wait for the final 2 part of the instalment.

Thats it for now i guess, just a quick recap so far. Its a short entry but there's much happening at the moment. I think im slowing down on my activities a little bit as my free time is now very limited not as before. But friends do update me on the goings on from time to time ok. XOXO

Smlm ari Ahad (7/6), me n hubby gi tgk movie kat KLCC - NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2. Enjoys and kelakar giler citer ni. Kali ni lebih byk karekter kerana barang2 pameran drpd muzium New York telah di pindahkan ke muzium terbesar di dunia di Washington DC - THE SMITHSONIAN yg terdiri drpd 4 muzium yg berbeza. So boleh dibayangkan betapa havoc nye bila smua barang2 pameran di situ 'hidup' di waktu malam. sgt rekomen smua utk pergi menonton movie ni, kalo x tgk, rugi....hehehhe...

Habis saje movie, me n hubby gi jalan2 kat concourse KLCC coz ade pameran LEGO. Ade a few small replicas of well known structures in the world displayed there built /made from LEGO...very detail n like the real structures

THE WEEKEND

Last weekend nothing much happen but just wanna share a little something i did last weekend.

Last Friday(29/5), went for a NFC meeting after work at KL SENTRAL, me went by PUTRA LRT. Just to discuss a few things on the progress of the coming Nubhanfc gathering on 6/6. Around 10 of us was in attendance and the artist n his manager also came. Meeting started around 7pm and me went back around 9pm. We had some fun things planned so siapa yg x dtg tu, nubies especially will menyesal and akn mennnnnnnnanah mata n telinga nnt...jgn mare k! :P

Saturday(30/5), me just lepakking at home.

Sunday (31/5), my weekend activity started today. Went to see movie - TERMINATOR SALVATION w hubby kat TGV KLCC. Mmg tersangat ramainya org and luckily for the movie, there was a special counter allocated so we managed to get tickets for the 2 45pm show.

As it was only 1 30pm then, we went to the foodcourt to have lunch. And i also went to look for new shoes for the gathering nnt. Alah just a simple shoes which also can be used for work. so around 2 20pm, we went back to the cinema. While waiting, i saw ISMA AF7. Mula2 x brp sure so i did asked her a couple of time - Ini Isma ke?. She looks different outside, COMEL je orgnya, mmg x percaya dh beranak 5. She was there with her kids and hubby, Zul. They watched - MONSTERS VS ALIEN. She mmg soft spoken sgt and very sweet, i managed to take picca w her.

Okay, my comment on the movie - a lot of action, nice visual and special effects, worth the hype and promos that it had been getting. I enjoy it, kira boleh layan lah coz believe or not, me mmg dh follow the Terminators movies since the first one. So more or less dh expect the action sequences and the storyline. If ade chance, dont miss it ya - thats if you like this sort of movie. The movie continues from the last movie, its already the future, Year 2018. Christian Bale played the main character, John Connor and his acting was so intense and dead on as the leader of the RESISTANCE. Another actor i would like to mention is SAM WORTHINGTON who played Marcus, an ex-convict who was sentenced to death but later was revived back to life in the future and he became the 1st new breed of Terminator i.e. part machine and human. Eventhough he is actually an IT (all his body parts except for the heart was made of steel and machine) but he stills acts and believes himself to be still HUMAN. Wow! i dh tercerite byk ni...you all tgklah sendirik ok! hehehehe...tp not bad lah lakonan SAM ni for being his 1st blockbuster film. Arnold susah nk eja pn ade tau!tp sekejap je....;-)

TALE N TIME FREE SCREENING AT FINAS (23/5/2009)

There was a free public screening of the above last Saturday at Pawagam Mini P.Ramlee, FINAS. I arrived a little after 3 pm and by then the movie has already started but i didnt miss much as ive watched this film in the cinema. Again i laughed, i cried and ponder. The respond was quite good as it was a full house and i had to seat right in front. There were a short break after the movie and right after a discussion was held which was led by Dr Wan Zawawi with Yasmin Ahmad and Mahesh Jugal Kishor, the lead on the panel. The talented Pn Azean Irdawaty was also present for the discussion despite having coming after another function in order to show her support for the film. During this time, a Q&A was held where the audience could voiced out their opinion or questions on the film.

Really enjoyed the questions asked and the answers given by Yasmin. By the way, that day was the first time ive seen Yasmin Ahmad in person though ive been following her blog and films all this while. I found her to be very humble, honest and gentle person despite her many success and accomplishment thus far. Alas, i missed my chance to take picca with her due to hunger as i skipped lunch that day and me went straight for the food served directly after the discussion ended:( oh! well, i'll be waiting for her next project and hope mayb got the chance to meet her again then...:) God willing!

But i managed to take piccas with 2 of the main characters - MAHESH and KAHOE. Eventhough newcomers to the industry but they show great potential and talent. Im sure they'll have a great career ahead in the movie and entertainment industry, so WATCH OUT for them !

All in all, it was a great experience meeting this 2 guys who are really nice and friendly and i wish them both the best of luck in their future...Kak Yasmin did told us that she has 2 new projects in the works and i cant wait for it, especially the joint venture movie with Japan. Kahoe might be in that too. This guy is really cute in person[no harm for a girl to look and admire right?!];) :p (check out what's written on his Tshirt)hehe...orite than b4 i'll ramble on n on n on, i'll stop here. CIAO! Over the weekend and the Maulidur rasul public holiday, nothing much happened...me attended a wedding, a reunion cum farewell hi tea, watch movies...

The movies i went to was Street Fighter and The Watchmen....I watched Street fighter at GSC Pavilion on Saturday and The Watchmen at TGV KLCC on Monday...Street Fighter starred kristin kreuk(Lana Lang in Smallville). Michael Clark Duncan(played a falsely accused prisoner in the green mile) but the story i found to be very boring, too much hype out of nothing...Street Fighter tells the story of Chun Li (kristin kreuk) who searches for her kidnap father and when her father died, planned revenge on his father's captors...the usual martial arts, kungfu fighting...

The Watchmen, another much hype but boring story...tells the story of superheroes who came back from retirement to protect the world from nuclear war back when the cold war time...this story first of all, there was no rating for it - it has some scene which i found to be obscene like a love making scene, the main hero Dr Manhattan is a mutant who are blue and naked, during the beginning there was like an underwear covering him but towards the end, the part was just blurred...me was very 'keliru' watching this movie...pening2

On sunday i attended a wedding in Kg Pandan, a son of my hubby colleague got married...reached there around 12 30pm, trus mkn buffet style, x sempat nk tgu berarak pn coz time tu org tgh ramai and tpt duduk terhad...

after the wedding, me went to Jusco Tmn Maluri jap sementara tgu time nk gi my fren house kat Bdr Tun Razak, jemputan nye kul 2 30pm...pusing2 kat situ tgh sale pulak tu, bought a NYC brand sandals to replace my sandal yg telah 'hancus' dek kena ujan time gi melaka n JB aritu...very comfy sandal ni...memandangkan tgh sale tu, me gi renew ler my jusco card...ramai gak kat customer service counter, siap kena ambik nombor...so round2 lagi sementara tgu my turn....lps dh renew jusco card, me trus beredar to my fren house...

sampai there, ramai gak org kat umah die, rupenya die ade buat doa selamat sekali in the morning....oh yea, the occasion was a reunion cum farewell hi tea coz my fren tu nk sambung buat PHD kat UK and 28hb ni dh nk fly off ...so dptlah jumpe geng2 lama kat rumah dier....So all the best Zarul, this time katanye 4 years so itulah dier dh siap warning dgn kitaorg nnt kat airport suh smua nanges sesama dgn die....hehehehe...tgklah kalo ade kelapangan that day, i might come to KLIA and send you off with the others...so below the piccas taken at his house that day...mmg miss sgt geng2 ni smua, masing2 dh bz and dh lost contact tp dh dpt sambung balik thru myspace and facebook...

Hai, seems so long that i've not updated my blog.... a lot of things are going on but i could not share with anybody..... so what have i been up to and what can i share are the following :-

31/1/2009 - ABPBH/NSTP CHARITY FUND FOR GAZA, AMCORP MALL, PJ

i went to this event just to check it out and also to do my part for the palestine people and their plight in GAZA....it is a noble thought and im proud that Malaysian are really caring and aware of the injustices and pain going on of the palestine people....me sampai dlm kul 12 noon and mmg dh ramai org at that time...a lot of artist was there and it is one reason why i came that day...the first stall i went to is the stalls that sells cakes sold by bbrp artist like Fouziah Ghous, Iqram Dinzly, Ally Iskandar...the cakes sold are sponsored by the Berjaya Times Square Hotel and as me kenal Iqram, he 'forced' me to buy a carrot cake from him as my first contribution to the cause that day...x force pn mmg dtg utk charity kan...hehehe

Next i walked around and at that time, Aznil and Din Beramboi was on stage doing their bit together with 3 Raja Lawak's alumni - Along, Angah and Azrul....i was not really paying attention but i think mayb Aznil ade lelong some of his personal things...

Jalan2, tgk2 lagi, ade chef wan tgh memasak n menandatangani buku masakannya, ade nampak Azean Irdawaty jual Mee rebus, nampak Rosyam, nampak Faizal Ismail, DJ HOTFM, byk betul artis ms tu, mmg seronoklah dpt ambik gambar dgn dorang...sambutan pn mmg mengalakkan, makin lama makin ramai yg dtg....jalan2 jumpe stall cupcakes Aizat n Liyana Jasmay...sedap tau cupcakes tu, siap ade signature aizat n liyana atas cupcakes tu, cupcakes tu cousin Aizat yg buat, mmg sedap cupcakes tu i tell you. check out sosweetpliz for more info abt the cupcakes....so dptlah ambik gambar dgn Aizat and Liyana kat situ...dh kurus bangat kan Aizat...


and then adalah bbrp artis/personaliti lelong some of their personal belongings - Datin Seri Tiara auctioned off a pair of earrings custommade for her by a jeweller from India which was auctioned off for RM 150, Aizat auctioned his guitar sold for RM 200, Ramli MS pn ade auctioned his suits, belts and shirts which was branded and very exclusive....Ade performance from Saerah and Saida and me finally went back at abt 4pm...here are some other artist piccas that me sempat snap there

8/2/2009 - Watch Pink Panther 2 at TGV KLCC

Went for the 1 30 pm show and nasib baek org x ramai ms beli tiket tu tp for the show the seatings was almost full...as we reached there around 12.45, lepas beli tiket me went for lunch kat food court tkt 4...me x mkn, just share a maggi goreng w man and teh o ais limau....cukup time je, we all pn g and msk the movie theater...mmg klakar citer ni, and the cast terdiri drpd big names gak - jeremy irons, aishwarya rai, andy garcia, john cleese mmg buat the story very entertaining...mcm biasa Steve Martin was hilarious and such a klutz with his antics and dumbness...hehehehe...me recommend all to see this movie kalo ade chance k...

BUMPER ISSUE

Due to the long CNY holidays i've decided to compile all piccas and activities into one post. Here goes :-

24/1/2009 - Santai @ Menara KL with Hezry, Live at RTM2 11pm

Why was i there....Nubhan got a show there...me n man sampai dlm kul 9 pm and i saw that the other nubies was already there - YB, FIT, Kikey, BAD3, Tokwan, Edna and Vern...after saying hello to everyone, YB said that Nubhan is already there and to see him in the waiting room...as i came in i saw that Tira, Eila, Norajoey, sue_agnes, kTcats and harney was already inside and nubhan is practising a mandarin song with the help of tira and eila...and all the while they spoke in mandarin...layan je...hehehhe...the other guest artist that nite was lousia chong and hubby, karen kok...basically Hezry, the host just wants to know their opinion on how they celebrate chinese new year and the preparations. Karen Kok was 1st to perform and then Nubhan's turn singing 'Generasiku'...after the show all of us went for supper at Lotus Restaurant. As Nubhan got another show tomorrow at Bdr Kinrara, he left earlier around 1 am and me pn balik close to 2 am.

25/1/2009 - Muzikfm di lokasi @ Giant BK 5, Bandar Kinrara, 2 pm

me sampai dlm kul 1 pm and just walked around for a while...this Giant is newly opened and a lot of the shops has not opened yet...quite a big place and its location is very strategic - on a hill overlooking the Highway...around 1 30 pm or so the Muzikfm DJs has already announced abt the event and by 2pm, the front of the mini stage there was already filled with people including me...i managed to stand quite near to the stage, the event started with eating mandarin orange the fastest which was won by Hafiz, who i think is a nubies....performance was started by Farahwahida and after each performance the DJ's will organised games in between, among the games played was limbo dancing, acting like a rock band, of coz eating mandarin oranges...Adam's protege, Back Boyz was next, this guys can sing and of coz dance very well, Saerah was next...all hampers or prizes was given by the respective artist performing that day...Adam performed with the Back Boys acting as his back-up dancers...their dance moves was very tight and energetic...Then came Nubhan's turn, he sang 'Ada untukmu' and the crowd response was very good...Finally it was stacy's turn and it shows that the crowd was waiting for her performance the most...Stacy was also assisted by her back-up dancers and the girl can really dance...all in all quite enjoyable.{for more pictures on this event, go to flickr_halle} thanks halle, nice n exclusive pictures as always.

26/1/2009 - Watch 'Underworld 3 : Rise of the Lycans @ Pavillion KL

me n man watched the 7 45 pm show....this story is supposed to be the prequel to the 1st Underworld starring Kate Beckinsale but she only appeared at the end...as expected ade byk blood and killing scenes, dh citer pn pasal vampires and werewolves kan...but im proud of myself coz i didnt scream .....out aloud...hehhee...boleh lah recommend kalo ade yg nk tgk..i pn dh lupa how the story goes so just tgk jelah...

27/1/2009 - Watch 'Bedtime Stories" @ TGV, KLCC and Visit KL Tower

i caught the 2 30 pm show and of coz i went with man....this is a very sweet story and most of the audience watching came with family and kids....layan jelah, nk tgk Adam Sandler punye pasal...its abt how a bedtime story told by Adam Sandler to his nephew and niece came thru the next day though some of it was coincidence then magic...very entertaining and heart warming, very sweet story, very feel good movie...After the movie, we decided to go to KL Tower as we got 2 free tickets from the Santai @ Menara KL show. Byk gak org kat situ coz masih holiday kan...so we pusing2 kat observation deck watching the whole of KL from the Tower and even caught the sunset that day, so beautiful...very nice experience and very romantic.

Lakonan drpd mrk dan jalan cerita ttg persahabatan, pengorbanan dan cinta sungguh mantap dan menghiburkan. Lagu tema 'Butterfly' yg di nyanyikan oleh Melly Goeslaw featuring Andhika Pratama menguatkan lagi cerita ini alah lagu ini telah tercalon di dalam kategori Favourite soundtrack di Indonesia Movie Award (IMA) 2008 yang telah di langsungkan pada 28 March 2008 yg lalu. Ia mengisahkan ttg cinta 3 segi antara Desi, Vano dan Tia. Its a love story with a twist. Gelaran Butterfly / kupu2 di sini di berikan oleh Vano kpd Desi dan Tia di mana walaupn mrk berbeza - Desi lembut dan rapuh, Tia pula berani dan lantang, kedua2 gadis ini saling melengkapi. Perbezaan antara mrk juga membuat Vano sgt selesa berkawan rapat dgn mrk. Kalau ke kedai CD atau DVD, cubalah cari cerita ini ok. Endingnye sungguh touching dan fotografi serta lokasi pengambaran sungguh cantik.

Bulan ni saya ada melanggan Astro Box Office movies dan ade di tayangkan filem Pensil kat situ. mmg menyentuh perasaan cerita ni dan lakonan Nek Ruminah Sidek mmg sungguh berkesan dan mmg patut beliau menerima Anugerah Pelakon Pembantu Terbaik di FFM21 yg lepas. Barisan pelakon yg lain juga sungguh berkesan lakonan mrk terdiri drpd M. Subash selaku pengarah n pelakon utama, Ruminah Sidek, Khadijah Tan, Jalil Hamid antaranya, tetapi pada Anugerah Skrin minggu lepas filem ini tidak meraih ape2 award pn... masih sy teringat betapa sedih nye perasaan pelakon2 filem ini apabila filem ini tidak mendapat sambutan semasa di tayangkan di pawagam. Luahan mrk telah di tayangkan di Melodi sikit masa lalu. Saya akui sy menangis setiap kali menonton filem ini. Sy ade bercadang ingin menonton nye di pawagam ttp tidak sempat dan nasib baik lah dpt juga ditonton melalui ABO.

Filem ini diarahkan oleh seorg pengarah baru dan berbangsa india ttp ceritanya ternyata boleh di terima oleh smua bangsa kerana ceritanya sgt indah dan simple ttg sikap manusia yg hanya tau mengutuk dan mengambil kesempatan atas kekurangan sesorg. Hidup Badrul yg malang dan di dera ibu tirinya sgt menyedihkan dan bagaimana die selalu mengadu nasib kepada seorg nenek (Nek Ruminah Sidek) yg sungguh menyayangi dan sentiasa menasihati Badrul agar sentiasa bersabar atas segala penderaan atau penganiayaan yg di lakukan kepadanya. Satu cerita yg akan memberi kesedaran kpd kita smua di mana Badrul sgt menghargai pensil2nya lebih daripada wang ringgit. Simple tp sungguh bermakna. Cubalah dptkan CD, DVD atau melanggan ABO kerana filem ini adelah satu filem yg bagus.
